The Lakes Festival, now in its fifth year running has seen artists such as Chantel Mc Gregor, Ainsley Lister, Only The Young, The South (formally Beautiful South), Slade, Scouting for Girls, Top Loader, The Shires and many other local talented bands. The event gives local people the opportunity to experience famous bands perform in an intimate and friendly atmosphere and is only possible through the fantastic support that it receives.

This year we have more bands than ever before all playing for around 30 or 40 minutes ensuring the festival stays fresh and exciting throughout. The Band From County Hell are a well-known established band from Lincolnshire and have performed all over country. The Ash Wilson Band from Skegness return once again and are currently doing fantastic here at home and also around Europe. The supporting band this year are the popular high energy band Brotherhood who are also on the line up supporting the Kaiser Chiefs at this year’s Splendour Festival in Nottingham.

This year headlining at the festival are the brilliant chart topping Hoosiers. Boasting a number one album and a few top ten singles to date this lively band promise to provide festival goers of all ages a fantastic and memorable occasion.

The festival grounds will include many well run outlets including Beer Tent, Pimms Tent, Hog Roast & Food Stall with homemade Burgers, Hot Dogs, Boston sausages and much more. People will be able to bring a picnic however you will not be permitted to bring drinks on to the grounds. Soft drinks & alcohol will be available from the stalls throughout the day.

The festival will again finish with an amazing spectacular musical firework display. This year’s finale looks set to be the biggest and best yet and will take place from the centre of the three lakes just after 10.30pm and is definitely not be missed.
